Pam Thomas,  Deaconess

Paul Savage,  Deacon

I started coming to LaRue Baptist Church at the invitation to attend their Vacation Bible School program in the fall of 1983. I wasn't particularly interested because I was dedicated to another church. My wife asked me if I would consider accompanying her to this program and I agreed.

I had gone to church for nearly twenty years and I was not prepared for what the Spirit did for me at LaRue Baptist Church. After hearing just one lesson, I realized that I had truly never heard the gospel according to scripture before. My own spirit soared and it didn't take me long to resign my position at our old church. I have been at LaRue Baptist Church ever since.

I have served as a Deacon at LaRue Baptist for so many years it is hard for me to number them.
