Going to church means hearing the pastor preach a sermon. But what is preaching and what does it accomplish? Preaching from God’s Word means proclaiming a text that is living, active and powerful. When the pastor preaches God’s Word, God himself confronts the congregation, calling for decision, action, and change. The Bible is a revelation from God, so preaching that revelation produces understanding of God, of your own heart, and of the world around you, providing a framework that gives you insight for all of life.
